Manu had been rubbing his eyes somewhat sleepily during this conversation, as the drowsiness began to hit him again. However, when Hijikata made his proclamation, the child's eyes widened and he clung tightly to the front of Hijikata's clothing. "But-but...Manu doesn't want a bath! Hiji can't give Manu a bath if Manu doesn't want one! No!" Scrambling from Hijikata's lap, he went and hid beneath the blanket that covered the sleeping area, shaking his head. "No no no no no!"
